Joyce is the Managing Principal and Founder of J. Miller & Associates and has over thirty years of professional experience which includes PricewaterhouseCoopers and other national firm audit experience. Joyce takes pride in leading a firm that truly values nonprofit organizations and recognizes their unique environment. She has extensive experience in financial and compliance audits, including Single Audits, reviews and compilations, tax-exempt services and outsourced CFO services. She has been a speaker on topics such as fraud, board development, audit committees, financial benchmarking, the Form 990 and other auditing, accounting and tax-exempt issues.
Joyce has a BBA degree in accounting, cum laude, from Temple University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago. Joyce has built the firm on the basis of her financial analytical training combined with her accounting education and experience to develop a unique approach to traditional accounting firm services. Joyce is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). Joyce has served and continues to serve on several nonprofit boards.
